2024 Oscars– “Oppenheimer” emerged as the triumphant film at the 2024 Oscars, securing an impressive 13 nominations and clinching victories in prestigious categories including best director, best actor, and best picture.

On the other hand, “Barbie,” the counterpart of the highly successful Barbenheimer duo, received eight nominations but only managed to secure one win on Sunday night, which was for best song.

The 96th Academy Awards also celebrated the remarkable achievements of “Poor Things,” which garnered accolades for its exceptional hair and makeup, production design, and costume design. Additionally, Cillian Murphy’s outstanding performance in “Oppenheimer” earned him the coveted title of best actor, further solidifying his winning streak after triumphing at the 2024 Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In a surprising turn of events, Emma Stone claimed the best actress award for her role in “Poor Things,” surpassing Lily Gladstone, who made history as the first Native American nominee for best actress for her portrayal of Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon.”

The grand ceremony took place at the renowned Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with the esteemed comedian and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel returning as the Oscars’ host for the second consecutive year and his fourth time overall.
