Trump Sneakers- Former President Donald Trump surprised many by launching his own line of tennis shoes at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia. Trump expressed his excitement for this new venture, stating that he has a great team working with him and believes the sneaker line will be a huge success.
During the launch event, Trump hinted that this move could be a way to connect with younger supporters and emphasized the importance of the youth in shaping the future of the country. Despite some mixed reactions from the crowd, Trump’s announcement generated a buzz among attendees.
The Trump Sneakers line is now available for pre-order on the internet. It includes three distinct pairs of tennis shoes: high-tops, red laceless athletic shoes, and white laceless athletic shoes.
The high-tops, known as the “Never Surrender High Top Sneaker,” are gold with a “T” logo on each shoe and are priced at $399 online. The athletic shoes, featuring a “T” and the number 45, are priced at $199.
Each pair of sneakers purchased comes with additional laces and a Trump “superhero charm.”
The website also offers “Victory47” perfume and cologne for sale at $99 each.
The sales of sneakers, perfume, and cologne are not related to Trump’s presidential campaign or the Trump Organization. CIC Ventures LLC has been licensed to sell the sneakers using the former president’s name, image, and likeness.
President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign made fun of the sneaker launch, with communications director Michael Tyler stating, “Donald Trump trying to sell knockoff Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to Air Force Ones for the rest of his life.”
The announcement was made shortly after Trump was penalized over $350 million for repeated financial fraud through his family corporation. Trump has expressed his intention to appeal the ruling.
This is not the first time Trump has licensed his name, image, and likeness for product sales. In 2022 and 2023, he entered into a licensing agreement to sell NFT trading cards through NFT INT LLC, which had the rights to use his name and image.
Trump faced jeers as he revealed his $399 official gold sneakers at Sneaker Con.
Donald Trump, the ex-President, faced a varied reaction upon unveiling his new Trump-branded gold sneakers at Sneaker Con in Pennsylvania. Despite being ordered to pay $355 million for fraud earlier in the week, the $399 shoes sold out rapidly, bringing some positive news for Trump on Saturday.
Trump expressed his long-standing desire, stating, “This is something I’ve been eager to do for quite some time,” while discussing the remarkable gold shoes. He acknowledged the exceptional individuals who collaborate with him on various projects, crediting them for this innovative concept. Trump emphasized that he has been discussing this idea for over a decade, confidently predicting its immense triumph.
The gold shoes feature an American flag design encircling the ankle, complemented by vibrant red soles. A striking Trump T emblem in gold adorns the sides, while another T is prominently displayed on the tongue of the shoes.
The Biden campaign took advantage of the opportunity to criticize Trump, as communications director Michael Tyler sarcastically commented on the Nike-inspired design.
In contrast, Trump proudly showcased the gold shoes at Sneaker Con, emphasizing their authenticity. He spoke at a podium adorned with the “GetTrumpSneakers.com” label, flanked by sneakers on either side.
The limited-edition collection of 1,000 pairs, with 10 signed by Trump, quickly sold out. However, the manufacturer is offering other Trump-branded shoes, such as the red “T – Red Wave” and the white “POTUS 45” with gold accents.
Chase Young from Culture Kicks highlighted the significance of a U.S. president releasing their own sneaker, stating that it had never happened before in our nation’s history.
One enthusiastic fan even bid $9,000 to obtain an autographed pair of the sneakers. Roman Sharf, the purchaser, expressed his intention to pass them down to his children but currently plans to display them in his office.
He addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of encouraging young individuals to participate in voting.
We will always remember the young individuals and Sneaker Con. It’s a different audience than what I’m accustomed to, but I truly appreciate this audience.
New Trump fragrances are now available for purchase, such as the “Victory47 Cologne” with a gold-capped bottle featuring Trump’s likeness. Additionally, there is a more understated perfume in a white, curvy bottle. Trump superhero charms are also up for grabs, showcasing a superhero version of Trump in patriotic colors.
Attendees at Sneaker Con were given signs that said “Sneakerheads love Trump.”
After the release of the shoes, some sneaker enthusiasts engaged in an online debate between liberal and conservative ideologies.
