Att Outage Near Me: Massive Cellular Outages Strike Thousands in U.S., AT&T Users Bear Brunt.

Att Outage Near Me- Numerous AT&T customers have reported a significant outage, with Verizon and T-Mobile also experiencing service disruptions.

AT&T experienced network issues affecting numerous customers in the United States on Thursday morning, resulting in the inability to make calls, send texts, or access the internet. While Verizon and T-Mobile also faced some network problems, they seemed to be less widespread.

Over 44,000 AT&T customers reported outages on DownDetector, a digital-service tracking site. However, this number is not exhaustive as it relies on self-reported outages. Although outage reports decreased slightly at 5 am ET, they rose again at 7 am ET and are currently increasing.

AT&T has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the network problems. The company has been addressing customer complaints online but has not officially acknowledged the network outage.

In recent days, AT&T has experienced intermittent outages, including a temporary 911 outage in certain parts of the southeastern United States.

San Francisco’s Department of Emergency Management stated on Thursday morning that its 911 center was operational, but due to the AT&T outage, many customers were unable to reach the emergency line. The department advised using a landline or finding someone with a different service provider to call 911.

Around 1,000 outages were also reported by Verizon and T-Mobile customers on Thursday morning, according to DownDetector. Both Verizon and T-Mobile have not yet responded to requests for comments.

The exact number of affected individuals and the cause of the service disruption remain unclear.

According to the DownDetector website, it provides real-time status information for more than 12,000 services across 47 websites in 47 countries.

Thousands in the U.S. impacted by cellular service disruptions, with AT&T customers experiencing the most significant impact.

A widespread cellular outage occurred early on Thursday, affecting numerous AT&T users across the United States. This disruption resulted in interrupted calls, text messages, and even emergency services in major cities, including San Francisco.

Around 7:00 a.m. ET, more than 50,000 incidents were reported, as per data from Downdetector.com, a website that tracks outages.

While users of Verizon, T-Mobile, and UScellular also experienced disruptions, the impact was considerably smaller compared to AT&T, according to Downdetector.

The outage severely hindered people’s ability to contact emergency services by dialing 911, as highlighted in a post by the San Francisco Fire Department on social media platform X.

The fire department has acknowledged a problem affecting AT&T wireless users’ ability to make and receive phone calls, including emergency calls to 911.

Requests for comments from the companies regarding the cause of the outages were not immediately answered by media.

According to a Verizon spokesperson speaking to media, there are no issues with the Verizon network, and their customers are only affected when trying to contact the carrier experiencing the problem. The spokesperson did not disclose details about the issue with the other carrier or mention its name.

T-Mobile confirmed that they did not experience any outages, and their network is functioning normally, as stated by a spokesperson to media. The representative also mentioned that Downdetector may be reflecting difficulties T-Mobile customers faced when trying to connect with users on different networks.
